The cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the Crea cafe works hand in hand with the community based structure of easylaughs. For over 6 years easylaughs has provided Amsterdam with an affordable and intimate improv comedy experience as well as doing more to foster a community than any other group.
History
easylaughs formed in the spring of 2005 from the highly successful group, Problem
Solved which formed out of the keen followers of an improv course in 2000.
Joined by other performers trained in other parts of the world, they started
performing at the Cameleon Theater in Amsterdam. The show became regular and
then more frequent until they established a regular show once a month at the
Cameleon. Here they also taught courses and ran weekly open workshops.
The easylaughs group formed to make the shows weekly and this needed a change
of venue, which is where the Crea comes in. Now they perform three shows every
Saturday night at the Crea, as well as continuing to run the courses
and workshops.
