In fact, trying to be funny often backfires in improv. The real laughs come from being present, playful, and open to surprise. In Improv Basics 1, you’ll reconnect with something you already know deep down: how to play. You’ll swap the overthinking mind for a responsive, present one—learning to listen, adapt, and create in the moment. Improv isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being present, being bold, and having each other’s backs. You’ll begin the class as strangers and end it bonded in laughter, creativity, and shared courage. It’s the most fun you’ll have forgetting your inner critic. Over 2 lively hours, you’ll: · Reclaim your natural creativity—the kind you had as a kid. · Quiet your inner critic and rewire the urge to control outcomes. · Surprise yourself by what emerges when you let go and stay present. · Learn the "Yes-And" mindset—the foundation of listening, accepting, and building together. · Play games and scenes sparked by just a single word. · Strengthen communication through body language, tone, and gesture. · Energize your mind and body with laughter-filled group exercises. · Celebrate your journey with a joyful, low-pressure graduation show on October 17th 2025!
