It’s time to roll up our sleeves and breathe life into our improv scenes—through bold characters and authentic relationships. This course is all about creating connection that captivates. When we commit to who we are in a scene and how we relate to others, we build moments that are fun to play and powerful to watch. In Improv Intermediate 1, you’ll discover how emotion, physicality, and point of view bring your characters to life—and how strong dynamics between characters give your scenes meaning and momentum. You'll learn to trust your instincts, follow the emotional truth, and make choices that fuel both comedy and connection. This is an intermediate-level class for improvisers who’ve taken at least three beginner courses (or equivalent). Not sure if it's the right fit? Throughout this 8-week course, you’ll: · Build compelling characters rooted in strong emotional choices and points of view · Let go of logic and let your characters' feelings drive the action · Explore dynamic relationships that raise the stakes and deepen the fun · Practice physical and vocal techniques to differentiate and embody your characters · Learn to connect emotionally—with yourself, your scene partner, and the audience · Expand your range by exploring characters outside your comfort zone · Reflect real relationships that audiences care about and relate to · Develop acting skills that elevate your stage presence · Assemble a toolkit of characters to draw from in any scene · Show off your work in a joy-filled graduation performance October 31st 2025!
