Course Description

This four-week course is about getting more out of short-form games and sharpening the skills behind them. Over four sessions, we’ll look at what makes short-form games actually work, from listening and association to commitment, physicality, collaboration and supporting your fellow players. We’ll play a range of games, look at both the obvious and less obvious rules, and figure out what the audience is watching for. The aim isn’t just to know how to play the game, but to understand what makes it fun, clear and satisfying to watch. Whether you already know the games or are trying them for the first time, there’ll be plenty to work on and skills to walk away with that can be applied to other short-form games in the future.
