Taught by Emma Wessleus & César Lüttger. Your course includes FREE entry to easylaughs Friday shows and Sunday workshops throughout the 8 weeks—more than €30/week in extra value! Musical Improv Basics 2 is your next step on the improvised musical journey. Designed for students who’ve completed Musical Improv Basics 1 (or equivalent), this course is all about taking what you’ve learned and pushing it further—into more nuanced musical games, stronger group work, and the first tastes of mid- and longform musical improv. We’ll continue to build your musical confidence, sharpen your storytelling tools, and introduce new structures and techniques inspired by our mainstage cast The Unplanned Musical and celebrated musical improv troupes around the world. If you’ve caught the musical improv bug and want to deepen your skills in a supportive, high-energy space—this is your jam. In Musical Improv Basics 2, you will: · Level up your musical games with more advanced formats and playful challenges · Strengthen your group dynamics and musical ensemble awareness · Explore mid- and longform musical improv techniques to tell richer, more connected stories · Experiment with song structure and emotional arcs to create scenes that sing (literally!) · Get curious about characters, relationships, and stakes in improvised songs · Build confidence performing in different musical styles and genres · Collaborate like a pro, listening for rhythm, tone, and story across the whole team Showcase your progress in a graduation performance on October 24th 2025! Come ready to laugh, sing, surprise yourself, and grow—one song at a time. Emma Wessleus is an Improviser, Singer, Comedian and Musikalzang-Docent. She has studied Opera at Stockholm Operastudios, Classical Singing at Amsterdam Conservatory and Musical Theatre at Associated studios in London. César Lüttger is a classical composer and pianist who studied at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and who writes mainly for solo piano and orchestra. His works have been performed internationally, he has received an EFF award for best film music and he is signed to Aragosta Piano where he releases peaceful felt piano music through his alias Nicolas Lüttger.
