Perfect for both music and improv enthusiasts alike, our classes offer a welcoming environment where you can explore and expand your skills. No prior musical experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. We focus on the basics of musicality to enhance your improvisation, making every session exciting and dynamic. Whether you're looking to deepen your musical improv skills or simply enjoy the thrill of spontaneous singing and storytelling, our course has got you covered. Previous improv experience however is required—since we will build upon these foundational skills in our musical improv course, having taken Improv Basics (or equivalent) is necessary. Led by experienced instructors, each session blends playful warm-ups, skill-building exercises, and collaborative games that bring out the best in every participant. Join us and discover the joy of creating music on the spot, all while building confidence and forming lasting connections with fellow performers. In this Musical Improv Basics, you will: · Develop confidence in spontaneous singing and musical storytelling. · Learn the fundamentals of musicality as applied to improvisation. · Cultivate a deep understanding of rhythm, melody, and harmony in improvisational settings. · Enhance your ability to collaborate musically with fellow performers. · Practice active listening and quick thinking in musical contexts. · Gain skills in creating and developing improvised songs and scenes. · Improve vocal projection, clarity, and expression through vocal exercises. · Experience the joy and satisfaction of performing musical improv in a supportive and creative environment. · Impress friends and family at your very own graduation show on May 16th! Emma Wessleus is an Improviser, Singer, Comedian and Musikalzang-Docent. She has studied Opera at Stockholm Operastudios, Classical Singing at Amsterdam Conservatory and Musical Theatre at Associated studios in London.
