Improv comedy is fun to do but it is also possible to create deep and meaningful scenes with improvisation. To create characters with many facets and real objectives. In this 4-week online course we will work on skills designed to make you a better actor.  We will focus on use of the body to create a character as well as the internal motivations that a character uses to make choices. We will use scenarios to improvise scenes with tension and drama and to create relationships that matter. 

The good news is that when we create drama we don’t necessarily have to lose the comedy. Scenes with multi-faceted characters and meaningful relationships can be not only incredibly dramatic but also incredibly funny. Your audience will laugh, cry and best of all, they will come back for more.

• Each class will have breathing and vocal exercises.
• Each class will have body and movement exercises.
• Each class will have exercises to create and develop characters with depth.
• The teacher will use pre-chosen scenarios for the students to improvise and practice using their character and scene making skills.
