When a need is perceived- through a call for action or an opening in the story, how do you respond? Do you decide with your brain, body or gut? Do you step in or hold back? Do you wait for someone else to endow you? Do you make a move first and explain it later? And what if you have to do it all in song?

For those, like me, who retain every little detail of everything they play, improv nostalgia can be both a gift and a curse. And those who forget quickly afterwards, like our very own Nirvi Maru, can enjoy the present moment and move on to experience the new one.

This summer, I spoke to some of our favourite cast members about the most memorable characters they have played in an improvised show. In the first of the series, we meet Suzie from the world of Tarantino, created and played by Nicole Mischler.
