ONLINE COURSE - SuperScene - The Directors

In SuperScene, 5 directors premier their improvised movies scene by scene. The audience decides which director's film they want to see more of until ONE director presents their final SuperScene. The Director is the EVERYTHING. More often than not, the audience chooses a film based on The Director rather than a coherent logical storyline.

In this 2 x 3-hour workshop, we'll unleash The Director inside you:

• learn to create a back story that connects The Director and genre, e.g. an ex-spy turned Hollywood director
• convey The Director's point of view, there's a reason we are seeing this film instead of a 'normal' person's version
• pick a character that is easy to maintain, that doesn't put you in your mind
• be the guide for the actors in your film, they rely on you to steer the ship
• choose a genre you know a lot about and condense it down to 3 beats
• use the audience's suggestions to improvise the movie title, a new genre, unlikely heros and much more
