Course Description

Registration closes October 5th. ✨✨✨✨ Taught by Bodei Brouwer. This is an advanced course for experienced improvisers. Every improviser wears 3 different hats on stage: actor, director and writer. You have to put on a believable performance, with the most interesting dialogue and storylines possible and figure out what it all means in the grand scheme of the show. In scripted theatre, it takes 3 whole people several months to do figure that all out and you have to do it right then and there! In the class, we'll be working on actor skills (stage presence, believable performance), director skills (reading meaning in words, subtext and body language) and writer (using our words to make impact while on stage and helping craft a story from the sidelines). We will dive into each of the hats and then find out how they can work together to make us the best improvisers we can be. Show off your skills at your graduation show on December 4th!!! • If you cancel up to 2 weeks before the course start date, you will receive a voucher in the amount you paid.
