Welcome to the wonderful world of creativity, fun and learning! For improv, we ask you to tap into a free-flowing, open and collaborative state. First, our expert teachers will create a comfortable, judgment-free environment that will allow your imagination to play safely. This introductory improv class is perfect for complete beginners, you do not need prior experience in acting, comedy or improv. In fact, trying to be funny often backfires in improv. The real laughs come from being present, playful, and open to surprise. This physical and fun class teaches you to switch focus from an overthinking mind to a reactive one that focuses on the present moment. Exercises and games are done together, in pairs, with the whole group or anything in between. You start off strangers on day 1. After two hours, you’ve bonded together in a silly, laugh-inducing, memorable way. In Level 1 you will: · Reclaim your natural playful creativity—the kind you had as a kid. · Quiet your inner critic and rewire the urge to control outcomes. · Learn the "Yes-And" mindset—the foundation of listening, accepting, and building together. · Impress friends and family at your very own graduation show on April 17th!!
