****Yaaay, (some of) the good ole days are back! As Covid regulations continue to ease in NL, the before times start to make an entrance again. We LOVED providing easylaughs students with FREE entrance to our Friday shows and our Sunday workshops. Watching improv and playing with new people, learning from new teachers is a great way to supplement what you learn in class. Sign up to class today and let the perks roll in! ****** **Please note: this course requires a minimum of 6 participants before this class can start.** We welcome you to improvisational comedy in this 8-week course! This introductory class is perfect for complete beginners, you do not need prior experience in acting, comedy or improv. In fact, trying to be funny usually doesn't work in improvisation. Letting the funny happen spontaneously is normally where the laughs come in. We create a fun and supportive atmosphere in our improv classes where students learn improv's core principal Yes-And: listen, accept and support. As a team you will improvise stories one word at a time, sell soap that sings, host a TV show and speak expertly about 5G, tropical turtles or whatever else the audience throws at you! A 2-hr improvisation class starts with some silly and fun improv warm-up exercises to loosen the body and mind. We move on to skill-based exercises and finish off with improvised games and scenes where we apply the skills we've learned. In Improvisation Level 1 you will: - retrain your brain to quiet the inner critic - get energized after 2 hours of lively improv exercises and games - learn how to play improv games with a single word as a suggestion - learn how to focus and follow your scene partner(s) - nurture that team vibe that helps the group create something from nothing - surprise yourself when you stop thinking and see what the moment produces - learn how to be more confident and own your space - learn to let yourself go and trust the team will get to the funny together - challenge yourself by trying something and being a beginner again - impress friends & family when you show off what you've learned in your graduation show on December 10th, 2021! COVID-19 Restrictions: easylaughs will only allow admission to people who have a coronavirus entry pass. You can get a coronavirus entry pass if you are fully vaccinated, have valid proof of recovery or a negative result from a coronavirus test taken less than 24 hours before entry.
