Whether you're a shower singer, karaoke star, or seasoned improviser looking to add melody to your toolkit, this course invites you to sing, move, and make musical magic—all while staying grounded in the core principles of improv: listening, support, collaboration, and joy. You don’t need a musical background to join—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to try. You do need some improv experience, as we’ll build on the fundamentals taught in Improv Basics (or equivalent). Led by our inspiring musical improv facilitators, each session mixes warm-ups, group games, and skill-focused exercises that help you build musical confidence in a low-pressure, high-fun space. In Musical Improv Level 1, you will: · Find your voice and gain confidence in spontaneous singing · Learn the building blocks of musicality—rhythm, melody, harmony—and how to use them in scenes · Create songs and scenes on the spot, with heart, humor, and your own unique style · Collaborate musically with others, learning to support and elevate your fellow players · Sharpen your listening and timing, both musically and emotionally · Strengthen your voice through vocal exercises that boost projection and clarity · Experience the joy of ensemble-based musical creation in a supportive environment · Shine on stage in a toe-tapping, show-stopping graduation performance on June 19th 2026!
