If we do not have enough sign-ups a week before class starts, we will cancel and issue a full refund. ** Have you seen improv shows where an actor suddenly bursts out in song like it’s the easiest thing ever? Do you love the energy that vibrates from musical shows? Do you sing when you feel happy? Do you feel happy as soon as you start singing? Have you joined or seen a Musical improv workshop or a Musical jam and would you love to take what you did or saw there to a next level? Have you noticed how much the audience loves musical games and how exciting it is to play them? Singing in improv games brings so much joy to everyone! There’s no better place to sing than on stage or in a rehearsal space with your fellow improvisors. And it’s easier than you might think. Everyone can do it. In this course you can top of your improv skills and amaze the crowd! In this class we’ll sing a lot and work on playing musical games the best way we can. We’ll be accompanied by a live pianist: Jules Dekker. This course is open for anyone interested in improvised singing. You don’t need any singing or improv experience. Everyone can sing in improv. It does help if you can stick to a rhythm and it’s important that you enjoy to sing. Even if you just sing in the shower! In S.3 - Musical Games you will discover: - what a joy it is to sing together - how making up a song is actually quite easy (ssst, don’t tell your audience!) - what a joy it is to keep things simple - the special tricks to take many musical games to a high level - how to rhyme and how to use rhyme in song - that you can find harmony - that having a great voice isn’t important at all - how confidence is a matter of fake it till you make it - song structures that save you most of the work - characters that fit your voice - how much support you get from a live musician - enrapture the audience with your musical skills at your graduation performance on December 16th, 2022! COVID-19 Restrictions: In case of a future lockdown, if necessary, this course will go online.
