**If we do not have enough sign-ups a week before class starts, we will have to cancel** So, you took our Stand-up Beginners class, did your grad show, and it went well (they always do). You enjoyed it, but very quickly, routine swallowed you, and you realized it's hard to keep writing without being held accountable by a group. Or maybe you kept it rolling: you wrote more jokes and signed up for a couple of open mics... but something's still missing. Would you like to keep working on your jokes in the context of a group? Perhaps you feel there's still more to learn and debate about the craft? Holy moly, what a coincidence! We're about to start the Intermediate Stand-up Course! During the course of 8 weeks, in 2-hour long classes, we're going to: TRAIN With exercises and helpful habits to make your imagination flow, you'll be able to come up with jokes on command! DIVE DEEPER With lectures to analyze and debate the structural, political, and philosophical aspects of different kinds of comedy. FIND YOUR VOICE Continuing the writing process as a self-discovery journey, we'll help you delve further into your unique style. WRITE, WRITE, WRITE! We're going to develop tons of new material, so you pick the best 5 minutes to present in the grad show at the end of the course! Grad Show will be Nov. 18, 2022 Come, you gotta! We will be super excited to see you again! COVID Restrictions: If the regulations restrict meeting in person this course will go online.
