Sanity is a performance. We’ve all learned to think and behave in publicly accepted ways to keep the wheels of society spinning. But what about that inner child that used to love to explore and play without the consequence of being shunned by others? The joy of play? The freedom to explore and express? That inner child hasn’t gone anywhere. They have been relegated to a little room in the basement with the door locked.
