WORKSHOP - Advanced Improv Skills

You are an improviser with experience, you can Who-What-Where the heck out of a scene and make it great. You have all the elements to play a character, have meaningful relationships, and build engaging environments…But how do you go from playing single scenes to playing a whole show?

In this workshop, we will start to make the transition from short form to long form improv. You will learn how to be a good improviser in the scenes you’re not in - knowing when to enter, edit or end a scene. We will work on heightening each other's characters, storylines and ideas, making a fun and balanced show.

You will learn how to:

• Make the transition from single scenes to scenes that are linked in a longform
• Recognize how and when to go from one scene to the next
• Support your team members in the scene and from the sidelines
• Enter, exit, endow, edit and end a scene
• Ask for inspiring suggestions
• Balance new and existing ideas

Please note: Before taking this advanced workshop, you should have taken Scene & Story Structure PLUS one other intermediate class (or equivalent).
