About the Event
In past weeks, Coronavirus numbers have escalated in The Netherlands, particularly in the Amsterdam region. You will probably be aware that some members of our community have recently tested positive for Coronavirus and are now isolating while they recover. With this in mind, we have taken the decision to cancel all shows and in-person workshops until November 11th, after which we will assess the situation again. If you already have tickets to any of these events, we will be in touch shortly.
We have adhered closely to the government guidelines since the beginning of this outbreak and despite the fact that continuing our shows and in-person workshops would be permitted, we are taking a break because it is the right decision under the circumstances. The improv community in Amsterdam is tight-knit, with many friendships and relationships not just through improv. Numbers continue to rise, and it is the responsibility of each of us to ask not only what is technically allowed within the regulations, but also what makes sense to stop the spread.
We will be taking this opportunity to revisit our current procedures and ensure that our measures are enough to keep everyone safe. Our courses will continue where the attendees are consistent and precautions can more easily be controlled with the unprecedented number of cases we are now seeing. Our online workshops will also be continuing. In the next couple of weeks we hope to see the measures currently being undertaken have an impact on current levels. We will update you on our future plans as soon as we know more.
We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time, this was not a decision that was taken lightly. Our thoughts are with those affected at this time.
